Oops!

I failed to mention that it would have been impossible for me to get my butt in gear if it weren't for my wonderful sister-in-law Stacie! A week or so ago I decided to finally clean my pigsty of a bedroom. Stacie called me that morning and wanted to come visit me. I told her what I was going to be doing and she asked if she could help. There wasn't much for her to do, it was just a bunch of junk that I needed to sort through, but she helped herself by cleaning my kids bedroom and the toy room. Lucky for me she LOVES to clean. We were down eating lunch and she could hardly wait to finish eating so she could finish cleaning upstairs. It was bugging her that it wasn't done. The upstairs has been clean for a couple weeks now, and I'm excited! I told the kids that they needed to make sure to put things AWAY this time, and I've been pretty good to stay on top of them. Downstairs has been pretty good, it's doing a lot better than it was. Brenden may not be able to see the difference though, by the time he gets home from work the kids school stuff is everywhere, and my kids don't know how to put their stuff away. I'm in the process of working on that. I think eventually they will get the point and realize that it's easier to just take care of it, otherwise they have to stop what they are doing and put it away when I say. I refuse to put it away if it's not mine, how will they learn if they don't have to do it themselves? I'm such a mean mom ;o)
