AAAAHHHHH
My toes are curling right now! Love my cats, and am so glad they catch mice. I HATE mice! This afternoon before the kids got home from school, Cole and I were sitting on the couch watching TV. I looked up and Sparrow, our boy cat, was playing with a mouse! Yes it was still alive. Cats LOVE playing with mice and torturing them. They like the cat and mouse game, to let the mouse think it can get away, but it never does. I sent Brenden a text "Mouse come now!" He came down and shewed the cat and it's play toy out the front door. Later I found the dead mouse on my back porch. Of course I praised my kitty and told him what a good job he did. See they both have been prowling around the house for mice. I can tell because they sit in one spot all day. Before Christmas I saw some black stringy stuff on the kitchen floor. You have to remember I can't see very well. I almost picked it up, but I left it there until I finally swept the floor. As I swept, I noticed it was not string at all, it was a dead mouse, ewww! Then about a week later there was something on my living room floor. With the dim light from the next room and my poor sight, it looked like it could be a squished piece of chocolate candy. With a better look at it it turned out to be the insides of a mouse, double eww! Anyways its been funny because they would take turns guarding certain areas of the house. For a couple days they were guarding the piano, they would take shifts going outside for a break. It was funny. That was before I found that on my living room floor. Then under the dish washer, I think that is the one Sparrow caught today. Then just barely Ryan came in and told me Sparrow caught another mouse. I went out and he was playing with it behind the couch! It was a baby one, still alive. The thing with cats and them playing with the mice is that they sometimes fling it pretty high in the air and who knows where it's going to land. I was finally able to shew it out of the house. It's a hard task to do when you're terrified of mice! Don't want to get too close ya know. Hopefully I don't have too many more of these encounters. Makes my skin crawl! Good kitty kitty! I think.
